Humans have come to accept thorns as an integral part of roses, a gift from Mother Nature. When we gaze upon roses, we often overlook their thorns. And when we create rose bouquets, we carefully remove and discard these thorns.
Yet, it seems challenging for us to extend the same courtesy to our fellow humans. We understand that imperfections and flaws are inherent in each one of us, but we struggle to look beyond these imperfections and focus on the goodness that each individual has to offer.
At the end of the day, the contents of our basket represent what we choose to gather. Are we collecting the flaws of others or the beautiful roses? What we carry with us in our basket defines how people perceive and relate to us. The choice is in our hands. Do we wish to be the person whose fragrance of positivity attracts others like soft flowers, or someone from whom people shy away due to the thorns of negativity that surround us?
